These documents describe our current practices. They are not a certification or legal advice. We will have them reviewed by qualified counsel as we grow.
These terms govern your use of Sonar Air, operated by Sonar Air (Amsterdam).
The service
Sonar Air helps recruiters and hiring teams discover publicly available professional signals about engineers, evaluate fit against role profiles, and review candidates in a dashboard. You remain responsible for hiring decisions, outreach, and compliance with employment, privacy, and third-party platform terms.
Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and must be authorized to use the service on behalf of your organization where applicable.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape the product in violation of our systems, or use outputs in ways that violate privacy, employment, or anti-discrimination law. You are responsible for how you contact or evaluate candidates identified through the product.
Fees and trials
Paid plans, trials, and usage limits are described on our pricing page or in your order form. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, fees are as quoted at signup or renewal. We may change list prices with notice where permitted by law.
Data and privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. When you use Sonar Air on behalf of an organization to process personal data about candidates or prospects, the Data Processing Agreement applies and is incorporated by reference into these terms.
Subprocessor details are available under the DPA annex and on request (see Privacy Policy).
Intellectual property
We retain rights in the service, software, and branding. You retain rights in your role profiles and content you upload. You grant us a limited license to host and process your content to provide the service.
Confidentiality
Each party will treat non-public information received from the other as confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or the information is already public.
Availability and changes
We may update features, limits, or these terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
Disclaimer
The service is provided as-is to the extent permitted by law. Sonar Air does not guarantee hiring outcomes. When enabled, language-model outputs (such as summaries and search-query assistance) are assistive only and require human review.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total aggregate liability arising from these terms or the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you actually paid us for the service in that period. If you paid no fees (including during a free trial or other no-charge access), that amount is zero, and we have no obligation to pay you any amount under this limitation. Nothing limits liability where prohibited by law (e.g. fraud, gross negligence, or death/personal injury).
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your use of the service, your hiring or outreach practices, or your violation of law or these terms, except to the extent caused by our breach or negligence.
Termination
Either party may terminate for convenience with notice as stated in your order or by closing your account. We may suspend access for breach or risk. On termination, your access ends; data handling follows the DPA and Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Netherlands, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Netherlands have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
